We’re delighted to announce the details of our Autism in the Mainstream Classroom webinar hosted by Dr Tania Marshall. Dr Marshall is our group Autism Ambassador and will be discussing autism in mainstream classrooms. Please note: This webinar is aimed at teachers interested in teaching in the UK with Teach In.
Tania Marshall, M.Sc., is a psychologist and award winning author. In addition, she is a 2015 & 2016 ASPECT Autism Australia National Recognition Award Nominee (Advancement Category). She works in private practice with individuals, of all ages, with a variety of mental health difficulties, psychological disorders and/or educations needs.
Tania also has extensive training and experience in neuro-developmental conditions. These include; Autism spectrum conditions, Asperger syndrome, ADHD, sensory processing disorder and synaesthesia, across the lifespan. She regularly provides assessment, diagnosis, intervention, support and/or problem-solving sessions.
In particular, Tania has extensive experience working with girls and women with Asperger syndrome (AS) or high functioning Autism (HFA). She regularly provides diagnostic assessments and support to females ages 2-77 years of age.
What will this webinar cover?
This session will cover how autism presents and various light touch strategies for dealing with it. This overview is suitable to up-skill teachers who have not taught any or many children with autism and are interested in teaching in the UK.
