As part of an international training partnership, Teach In send trainee teachers to the UK to experience it first hand. Students from Monash University in Melbourne take part in 3 week placements at the Greenacre Academy Trust in Kent, UK. As a result of this partnership several teachers, including Grace, have secured permanent jobs at Greenacre Academy.

Staff shortages in Kent, UK ,first lead Greenacre Academy Trust’s Principal, Andy Reese, to Melbourne in 2016 to recruit Australian teachers to fill outstanding positions. Teach In supported the school in sourcing several Australian candidates to work in Kent. Following that successful recruitment drive, Monash University has partnered with the Greenacre Academy Trust to give Australian trainee teachers experience of working in UK schools – benefiting both the students and the school.
