Join the Teach in Community

When you choose to work through Teach in in the UK, you join our community of international teachers from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Canada, who are also taking the leap to live and work in the UK. Most teachers heading over are also looking for travel buddies, flat mates and new friends to hang out with. Our teachers make friends for life during their time teaching in England and we love hearing about your teaching and travel plans, and we are here to help if you need us. Katharine Hearn is our Head of International Recruitment on the ground in London and Katharine and her team will be there for you throughout your time in the UK.

We love holding regular networking events for new and established teachers in the UK. They are usually catch ups in a pub or similar venue, where everyone can chat with Teach in staff and other teachers and support staff just like them. It is also common for us to connect teachers before they arrive in the UK, so they can consider living together or at least have someone to catch up when they arrive. We will also make sure you meet with your UK Consultant before you start your job and often you will have another international teacher starting in your school at the same time as you.
